About Chateau de Rhodes

Filled with 18th and 19th century antiques, and Persian rugs, the château will create incredible memories for all who stay here.

There are two very large reception rooms, chateau dining room, library, billiard room, games rooms, terrace dining-room for thirty plus, cinema room, original chateau kitchen, plus a fully equipped professional kitchen, which are equipped with an American style fridge freezer with ice maker, walk-in refrigerator, under worktop refrigerators, drinks chiller, self-service refrigerator, 3 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 sets burners, griddle, coffee makers, etc.

There are outside dining tables and chairs for 30+ and sun beds, shades, etc. Around the pool and terrace.

The grounds are encircled by a tranquil walking path, and are accentuated by both a river and a stream.There are many ancient trees in the well-tended landscape. From the terrace one can hear the soft flowing arize river which meanders through the château’s park. From the sparkling swimming pool are dramatic views of the Pyrenees.

Tennis buffs will be thrilled with the hard tennis court. An antique snooker/ pool table is available indoors, plus a further games room and exercise room which will definitely appeal to the younger set. Just a five-minute drive away is a challenging eighteen-hole golf course.

Le Chateau de Rhodes boasts 15 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a huge heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi, two saunas, and a tennis court, all set in 24 acres of stunning grounds.

Chateau de Rhodes houses 15 bedrooms with the ability to sleep 30 persons.

The rooms are a combination of large doubles with en-suites to rooms with both double beds and single beds as well as cots for infants.

Bathrooms

Inside Chateau de Rhodes there are a total of 11 bathrooms for the 15 bedrooms. There are also 3 separate bathrooms with showers for customer’s use.

All bathrooms are attached to bedrooms as
en-suites with 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom.

Chateau de Rhodes is perfect for families or large groups and has a wide range of entertainment facilities including a games room, a new wine tasting room, a cinema room, ping pong table, pool table, outside and inside jacuzzi, two saunas, a newly built heated swimming pool & more.

This historic Chateau is an ideal holiday location for special anniversaries, family reunions, or simply a fantastic holiday.

Situated in a newly designated natural park at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains, just three kilometers from the village of La Bastide De Serou, which boasts a small supermarket, plus a butcher, baker, post office, chemist, medical centre, and the area tourist office.

The village is between Foix and St. Girons in the Ariege region of South West France.

Horse riding facilities, biking trails, canoeing, kayaking and fishing, even an underground grotto plus many other attractions are just a short drive away, including Le Golf de L’Ariege golf course for serious golfing enthusiasts.

A short drive away is the Lac De Mandely.

There is a dedicated cycle track of forty kilometers just five hundred meters from the grounds.

					A precious family week in a beautiful Chateau - This is a beautifully spacious chateau with lovely views and has been tastefully renovated by the owner.

We had a simply splendid family week here, 21, of us, 10 adults... read more and 11 children!

The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms have been modernised to have walk in showers.  There are nice lounges to sit and table tennis, table football and a pool table inside if the weather is bad.  Outside, the swimming pool and sauna lovely when the weather is hot! There is plenty of shade.

There is a very large conservatory with a very long dining table, perfect for our family. We could all sit and eat together!

But the piece de resistance must be Elie and his lovely wife who worked so hard to feed us all! Quite an undertaking ! They worked tirelessly.  With always a smile. The food was delicious and he catered for all our various intolerances brilliantly!  He even made 19 pizzas with us, all different, one lunchtime! A real gem!

					Amazing holiday - Catching up with seven families, 14 adults and 13 kids was never going to be easy but the Chateau lived up to and exceeded our expectations!

The facilities were amazing... read more - the pool, fully equipped pool house, jacuzzi, hammocks and large decked seating in the shade; there was something for everyone! 

The house is huge, well furnished and homely and walking through it hearing constant conversation and laughing was good for the soul. 

The chef and grounds manager who lived on site was exceptional, he went out of his way to ensure we had a great time, with his jovial and welcoming attitude. His Thai wife made us a lovely Thai meal one night too! 

Hot afternoons were spent with the kids in the river in the shade and early morning bike rides into the nearby village (4kms by bike along a lovely bike path) for a coffee and for croissants were always very popular! 

A great way to catch up with very special friends and something we all wish we could do again!
